John D. Cooke founded The Cooke Financial Group in 1969, and started his career in the financial services industry at Thomson McKinnon Securities. At McKinnon, John pioneered the process of evaluating and selecting professional money management firms for the benefit of his clients. John and his team embraced comprehensive financial planning and wealth management; their independent, objective, and unbiased approach helped identify financial solutions that most ideally addressed client goals and priorities. After a series of mergers, The Cooke Financial Group recently became part of David A. Noyes & Company.
John was named to the 1994 Broker Hall of Fame by Research magazine, and was named to Barron’s Top 100 Financial Advisors every year from 2004 to 2009. He has been honored for his performance through membership in Wells Fargo’s prestigious Recognition Council for 30 consecutive years and is a recipient of the coveted “Wells Fargo Spirit” Award. In June 2012, John also earned the well-deserved Lifetime Premier Advisor designation from Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2008, Cooke Financial Group was named the #1 Family Team in America by The Winner’s Circle & Research Magazine.
